The Writer's Hang is the critically acclaimed singer-songwriter performance series that takes place on the first Thursday of each month in Hoboken, NJ (the birthplace of Frank Sinatra and Baseball).

Since its debut in March of 1998, The Writer's Hang has been hailed for creating its own "listening room" scene, putting on outstanding shows & attracting a loyal following, as well as some of the country's best modern singer-songwriters - artists of all genres, major label & independent.

Based in the Midwest, and emerging from the fertile Boston folk scene in the 90s, Peter is a powerful presence on the National and European acoustic music circuits. His husky-voiced delivery of poetry and virtuoso guitar playing are vehicles for one hell of a journey into the human soul. Rolling Stone calls his work, "Surrealistic beauty." Jim is a one-man encyclopedia of American pop music, and it works its way genuinely into everything he does. Whether he his blowing people away with his instant upbeat hooks, heart-wrenching ballads, celebratory random covers or his killer side-man work (which he's done for indie pop icons like Aimee Mann, Jill Sobule, Juliana Hatfield and even Broadway diva Bernadette Peters!), his performances are a constant reminder of why we fell in love with music.
